The Full Materials Pack comprises the Core Materials Pack and the Additional Materials Pack.

The pack provides the full set of core and additional materials necessary for you to teach the complete Sound Discovery synthetic phonics programme throughout your school or educational setting. It also proves the resources for your students to apply their phonic skills to wider literacy.

The pack will enable you to provide first-time teaching and catch-up/intervention lessons for students who are slow-to-start, dyslexic or who need top-up teaching at any age group, including adult.

The materials can be used to teach any group size from whole class to small group and for individual tuition.

All materials in this pack are photocopiable.

The Sound Discovery� Manual (SD1) describes the framework of the programme and how it is taught.

The two handbooks Sound Discovery� Words and Sentences (SD2 and SD3) provide an extensive bank of words and sentences for reading and dictation at each Step of the programme.

A further book Sound Discovery� High Frequency Words Version 2 (SD4) enables you to teach High Frequency Words most effectively using the latest guidance. It provides a bank of words, sentences, and decodable texts which are specially prepared so that students can begin to read them automatically.

Precision monitoring, speed reads and comprehension elements develop reading fluency, accuracy, speed, comprehension and oral language.

Seven sets of fully prepared Snappy Lesson� Plans and their seven sets of accompanying Resource Materials help busy teachers to deliver the complete programme.

Eleven Placement Tests enable individuals to be placed on the appropriate Step of the programme quickly and easily.

The decodable texts are carefully written to match a student's phonic knowledge at each teaching Step.

The activity books are designed to develop vocabulary, reading comprehension and independent writing.

The Precision Monitoring and Speed Reads books are designed to develop the speed, accuracy and comprehension of reading at sound, word and text levels.

The Developmental Handwriting Series provides a set of handwriting sheets to teach good letter formation and joined handwriting.
