The teaching framework of Sound Discovery is developed through seven teaching Steps.

This handbook, Sound Discovery Words and Sentences Part 1, lays the foundation of the literacy programme and provides a bank of words and sentences to practise reading and dictation for the first three teaching Steps, (Steps 1 to 3).

At each sub-step of the programme there are photocopiable words and sentences for reading and dictation. These are clearly laid out and are an easily accessible and invaluable resource.

You do not need to think of your own examples. This has already been done for you.
