Sound Discovery Texts for Reading, Dictation and Comprehension provides two small texts for each of Steps 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5 of the literacy programme for reading and for dictation.

Each text comes with five questions for the teacher to ask the student: who, what, why, where and when.

This develops reading comprehension and may also be used for listening comprehension.

Answers are provided.
