For convenience these unbound packs contain 23 grids of photocopiable words and sentences which match each of the 23 Snappy Lesson® Plans in BSL3B Big Book of Snappy Lesson Plans at Step 3B, Main Alternative Consonant Spellings.   At the end of the pack there is a grid of all the tricky words used in sentences with the tricky bit underlined.

Each page of this pack - Resource Materials to accompany Snappy Lesson Plans, Steps 4 to 7 - provides the graphemes, prefixes, suffixes, syllables, words and sentences required for the reading and Manipulating activities in the corresponding Snappy Lesson Plan.

The word parts, words and sentences are all ready for photocopying and using, saving Teachers and Teaching Assistants valuable preparation time.

A deliberate aim of the Snappy Lesson Plans for Steps 4 to 7 is to extend the range of Tricky Words and alternative spelling choices.

A grid of all the Tricky Words used in the sentences is included for pre-tutoring. The irregular part of each Tricky Word is underlined.

As well as supporting Sound Discovery at Steps 4 to 7, these resource materials can also be used to support the Letters and Sounds synthetic phonics programme at Phases 5, 6 and beyond.
